Perfectly Imperfect Estate Plan

From the desk of San Diego Will and Trust Attorney, Kristina R. Hess

Greetings!

Today I want to talk to you about the imperfectly perfect estate plan.

You see, I see this a lot.  Let’s say John and Jill of La Jolla, CA, have the benefit of a nice lifestyle.  A beautiful home in the jewel of San Diego, two little kids, a dog named Scruffy, and a blessed life.

They *know that they need to get a will, trust, and child guardianship plan in place.  They *know that as responsible parents, they really cannot leave their children’s care up to the court system.  They really *know that they do not want their assets passing through probate court… if the unthinkable happened to them.

Yet, despite knowing they need to get an estate plan done.  There is something that is holding them back.

Maybe this sounds familiar to you too?

They cannot agree on who should be guardians of their children.

They don’t like thinking that they could die and wouldn’t be here to raise their children.

So, they procrastinate.

They do nothing.

Yikes.

Stay tuned for continuation of this post…. perfectly imperfect, we will be talking about how you can get it done!

More soon.

Your San Diego, La Jolla, Carmel Valley, Del Mar Estate Planning Attorney,

Kristina R. Hess
